about.
I am a British documentary filmmaker from London. In 2022 I graduated from the University of the Arts London: London College of Communication in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography. This course was led by a commitment to research, professional ethics and critical reflection. The critical and theoretical elements of the course were delivered by internationally recognised leaders in the field.
Studying during the lockdowns encouraged me to re-think my tools in visual storytelling. This process guided me into a passion for documentary filmmaking, as it allowed me to dive deeper into how I could tell impactful stories in a season of limitations.
Since graduating, I have worked on independent documentary film and photography projects, such as filming Colours in The Dark in Czechia, producing a photographic research piece on Guildford’s zero-waste shoppers and photographing David Bowie’s producer Tony Visconti.
exhibitions.
2024- Guildford’s Zero-Waste Shoppers, Solar Sisters, Guildford, Surrey
For this series, I partnered with Godalming’s Green party councillor, deputy mayor and business owner of Solar Sisters cafe, Nina Clayton. I produced 10 portraits of Solar Sister’s regular shoppers at Guildford’s zero-waste shop, Solar Sisters. Nina and I asked them to write down what motivates them to shop sustainably. We later transferred their words on the typewriter and captioned them, below the customer’s black and white printed portrait. This photo series is currently on display at Solar Sisters.
2022- Oikos Exhibition, Hastings, Sussex
I worked on the event designs and co-managing the social media communications and content for Oikos’ first show, where I also exhibited my own documentary short film in response to their briefing surrounding the term ‘Oikos’.
2022- The Same Coin, Elephant & Castle, London
Screening of ‘The Bramwell Sisters’ at my graduation show.
